Israeli army chief: Iran won't build bomb

The Israeli military chief Benny Gantz describes the Iranian government as “rational” and stresses that he does not believe it would build a nuclear bomb.

Commenting on such a possibility, he points out that the country would be making an enormous mistake.

According to him, the Iranian leadership is composed of very rational people. However, he agrees that such a capability, especially in the hands of Islamic fundamentalists is dangerous.

International debates have been focusing on the question whether or not Tehran is carrying out a nuclear program. Iran insists that it is enriching uranium for civilian purposes an only, reports The New York Times.
